Hi all
I have just joined the forum and have seen some interesting work. Keith, I am very interested in the Worcester study presentation that you uploaded - you mention that you would be able to send over the report. Please could you send me a copy of the report?
I thought I would add a link to a study that I did for Stockport's Core Strategy. http://stockport-consult.limehouse.co.uk/portal/pp/ldfcs/aaconsultation?tab=files
I also used the exponential gravity model within Accession to produce a series of continuous gradings of accessibility across the borough for a number of destination types and then normalised them to produce a single composite accessibility assessment to help with identifiying sustainable housing locations. I also turned the assessment on it's head to look at the best locations for destination uses (employment and retail sites in particular).
I exported all of the data from Accession in Excel and gave quartile rankings to each score. In retrospect I should have done deciles! I then produced grid maps in Mapinfo (shown in the appendices).
This analysis would have been greatly enhanced if I could have used weightings for waiting time and interchange in the generalised time calculation!
Richard.

Hi Richard No problem - you can find the associated paper to the presentation by going to http://www.ptrc-news.com/TPM2009.html and then select > Wednesday 15th July > Session 5 > Accessibility Planning.
Let me know if you need more information.
Cheers Keith
