In local accessibility results I am unable to create a point map with a maximum time less than 8 minutes or the equivalent reduction in metres the; ranges it produces are unrecognisable. I have produced a contour from the same result and this works fine below the time or distance threshold that causes a problem with the points map. I have used different origin sets and pt networks but the problem remains. Has anyone had a similar problem?

Hi,

Is it possible for you to post a screen shot showing what the ranges are?

Cheers,

Dan

Hi Dan,

I don't have any imaging software to covert the screenshot to HTML, and I seem unable to do a simple copy/paste function. Can you suggest a way I could attach as a file?

Cheers,

Ian

You should just be able to take a screenshot then on the forum there is an option at the bottom when you make a post to attach files - you can use this to upload the image.

Ok, the issue here is the way Accession deals with non-accessibility. If something is not accessible within the parameters set in the calculation the field 100000000 is returned to show not accessible. Now the problem is with the Point Map it will try and plot these as the result - which is why you are getting such a high value being returned in the field.

I would suggest finding out what the maximum accessible value being returned is (easiest way is to do a contour for distance and see what the max is) and then to go back to the point map and manually change the range up to the maximum value. This should solve the issue.

Let me know how you get on

Thanks Dan, I've done that now and it works. I have also extended the maximum time parameter in the calculation then removed the points over my required threshold from the display manually which gives a tidier legend display.
