Hi everyone,
I have the option to get my data in either CIF or Transxchange format, I know Accession can read both of these formats but i have only ever used CIF previously. Does anyone know what is the difference/advantage between these formats? Any help would be most appreciated.
Cheers,
Rob

Hi Rob,
To answer very simply - there is no difference to how the data is viewed in Accession, a CIF is a flat TXT file and a TXC is an XML file. The difference when importing is that you may need to use NAPTAN data with the TXC data, this is because some of the files don't include the stop information.
If you need any more advice feel free to drop me an e-mail,
Regards,
Dan
