I've just re-run a calculation on a database previously set up whilst Office 2003 was installed. We have now switched to Office 2010.
NOTE : I have added the database folders into the 'Trusted Locations' as suggested in the help PDF on this forum.

The calculation executes for about the expected time then produces the following error dialog.

TMVACSVImporter.Import (Access Direct Import) - The RunSQL action was cancelled

followed by:

An Error has occured:
The RunSQL action was cancelled

Please read the error above and try again

If the problem persists.....etc

Following this the progress bar appears as normal and a set of results are produced, but I'm obvioiusly not very confident their validity.

Is this a 'trusted location' / Office 2010 issue or something else?

Thanks,

Pete.

Hi Pete
Similiar messages happen when:
a) macro security is set to high
b) result names are too long
May not be your issue though...2010 sniff, not jealous...

Hi Keith,

Your response about Macro security prompted me to check the Access settings again and I found that the tick box for 'Sub-folders of this location are also trusted' wasn't ticked. I added two locations to be 'trusted' and forgot to tick it the second time.

I've re-run the calculation and it's completed without any errors.

Hopefully, problem solved.

Pete.

Good news :-)

Good old Access 2003 doesn't give such options - all I know is if I get any nasty macro I'll be screwed with my settings!!

Lots of old software (like Accession) can't handle the new accdb files, would be good if this changed as the new files are much smaller and bloat a lot less.....
