New help file Hi Carol,

The current help file can be found on the following PDF link. The next one will replace this link, though it seems that it might be delayed a few days.

Thanks, Admin

How do I get a Bing or Google Map Key? We often get asked how to sign-up for a Bing or Google map key, so we have created a handy PDF that talks through this process. Please see attached document.

Please note, while we provide the option to load in Google or Bing map backgrounds into our TRACC and CORE products, you are still bound by their licence terms and Basemap take no responsibility for this.

Need advice on using ATOC Timetable Data in TRACC Hi Michael,

The MCA file is the one that most resembles a CIF file, though be aware, there are many train positioning services included in their data - so be sure to remove these or the ghost trains will be included. Basemap offer this as a paid for dataset - http://www.basemap.co.uk/map-data/public-transport-data/

realistic road speeds? Hi Jonno,

This is a good question, we can resell various data sources that can give this information. Though I notice you're from a local authority, have you tried utilising the TRAFFICMASTER data you get free from the DfT? The issue can be that these speeds vary depending on the area of the resulting study - so if you took an average for all of the UK, this can vary with urban and suburban roads.

Thanks, Admin

TRACC Road Network Hi Ed,

Can you send an image of this issue? With ITN from the GZ file the grade separation should not allow this to happen.

Settings Hi Laura,

Many of the settings are similar, things such as the external and internal connection distance and walk variance are the same as in ACCESSION, however we do have many new features in TRACC, i'd recommend looking these up in the help file on the link provided below: -

http://forum.basemap.co.uk/topic220-tracc-geocoder-and-help-file.aspx

We do laso run training courses in TRACC which will give a detailed explanation of all the new features in TRACC, we have a public course in March in Manchester if that would be of interest?

Thanks, Admin

Calculation Error Hi Ian,

We have found this issue in a rare number of occurrences, this is fixed for the next release due shortly. We suggest changing the number of concurrent process to 1 in the settings and try running again.

Thanks, Admin

Error with Background Mapping Hi, how do you mean it wont let you publish, do you get an error message?
5/24/2016 11:53:51 AM
Error with Background Mapping If you unselect USE MAP, do these files then appear in the publish window? It might be worth creating a ticket with the support team who'll be able to assist.

Ability to export routes? You can export an individual service using the Save option in the PT network, you can then just import that service and export the points a a SHAPE file. Unfortunately, at this stage we have not got the ability to export the individual route.

How to add a road network link and make it snap Hi Richard,

So what you need to do is draw the inl, if any end of the link is within 10m it will snap automatically, this happens after you press the save icon. You need to double click on the final point of the new road (within 10m of the existing link to snap).
